well, i figure, why not start the poetry thread myself since it hasnt been made yet

can you take it all away
im sitting here
with not much to say
but ill try
to make something anyway

my mind is wandering
and i feel lost
my heart is full
and about to burst

why do i make
myself hurt so
why do i refuse
to let life be easy

im sitting here
in my dark room
wanting to say something
but nothing makes since

where do i go from here
nothing is clear
why am i sitting here
i really dont know

im lost in my thoughts
a silent war
is being fought
everythings so blurry

i dont want to give up
i dont want to give in
should i roll the dice
or should i fold this time

where do i walk
when all i see around me
is an empty plane
with no life at all

well, yeah, im bored and awake so ill post this as the opening, after another person posts, ill post 6 more *nods

This is a poem that just "wrote" in my head as I was waking up. Don't ask me why or how, it just sort of happened.

I woke up this morning thinking of you.
I still can't believe it is true.
The love I was searching before
Seems now it is just beyong my door.
I know we will have our ups and downs,
But I don't care where we are bound.
Just take my hand and I'll show you the way,
Wash away your trouble, tell you it is okay.

That's as far as I got before I got into my full senses and killed the poetic moment. Maybe I'll add more later.

My Mom wrote this for her best friend of over 40 years. This poem can be for all best friends. Smile

"FOREVER FRIENDSHIP"

Through the years our friendship grows like a beautiful blooming rose. We've shared love, happiness, pain and gain, but never was our friendship in vain.

Sitting on my front steps we met long ago. I was happy filled with glee, a new friend I knew you would be. I'll never forget that wonderful day because it brought you in my heart to stay.

You are the sister, Sandy, I wish I had because you make my heart feel glad. You're the best friend I'll ever have.

We've traveled life's long and difficult road. Through it all I'm your friend and you are mine, even when life ends. Sandy, I'm your friend until we reach the end of our time.

So, God Bless You my friend. You'll never be alone on our journey home to Heaven's Gate where God awaits. -

What does Tomorrow bring

in a world of darkness
is something i am far from
a world of sadness
is what mine is to become

theres nothing going on for me
so i just sit here bored
the lack of anything is what i see
so i just wait here alone

for something to say to me
just give it time
and it will truly be
everything thing you need

just sit and wait
thats what i do
contemplate
thats my life

no darkness
just emptiness
no happiness
just lonliness

ive been to the bottom
of that bottle for you
making my self insane
just so you see what id do

but...
NO MORE
IM DONE
wasting my time on you

ive sat and starred out
looking across an empty sky
face full of tears
hoping nobody would see my lie

but...
now im...
walking away
stop waiting on you.

after a blistery summer day
it feels like the air is cooling
only a few more steps to autumn
almost time to stop fooling (myself)

now...
im walking
a straight line
once again free of my chains

i can feel the cold winter winds
blowing across my face
finding out what im about
and rest my sword
